Fresh Chef 2019

This year’s Fresh Chef will be a little different from past years. A maximum of 40 kids will be split up into 4 teams of 10. Each team will be paired with a professional chef who will have the recipe, supplies and ingredients on hand. You simply provide your own spin on the recipe provided.

This year, the team's challenge is to create....drum roll.....a packable lunch and movie snacks. We are leveling the playing field this year so that each chef is only allowed to use the following items, if needed: toaster oven, toaster, griddle, or blender to create their masterpieces! Chefs and students will have a 2 hour time slot to teach a skill, read recipe, create, perfect, and present.

Three local community members will be featured as judges and providing commentary as the teams work and cook.

Cost is $15 per child, limited to children ages 8 and up.

1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place will be awarded based on the following: presentation, time, taste, teamwork. Following the award ceremony, we would like each of the visitors and team members to take home the recipes and newly acquired kitchen skills!
